I’m India, founder of Honest to Earth.
I started this little venture with a big mission: to create beautiful, sustainable candles that don’t just burn bright but also do right by the planet. Here’s the deal—I wanted candles that smell amazing, look gorgeous, and don’t leave a trail of nastiness behind. So, I decided to make them myself!
At Honest to Earth, we keep it simple, clean, and honest (it’s in the name, after all). Each candle is hand-poured in London and designed to be as sustainable as possible. Oh, and the best bit? Our candles come in mugs you can reuse forever. It’s the perfect two-in-one—because why should good design stop at the flame?
We’re all about creating products that feel good, smell good, and are good. No toxins, no gimmicks, and absolutely no nasty stuff you find in standard candles. Just a little glow of joy and sustainability in every burn.
So, light up, sip up, and let’s make the world a little brighter—one Honest to Earth candle at a time. 🌱✨
The Process
Every Honest to Earth candle is hand-poured in the heart of Shoreditch with care, love, and just the right amount of flair. We start by carefully melting the wax, ensuring it’s at the perfect temperature to bind with the essential oils for a smooth, even burn. Once the mix is ready, we pour it into our reusable mugs, where a natural wooden wick is already in place—standing tall and ready to crackle. After that, we let the candles cure slowly, giving the scent time to fully develop and the wax to settle perfectly. From start to finish, it’s a process that values quality, sustainability, and a touch of artisanal magic in every mug.
